Abstract:
This study employs an acoustic experimental approach to contrastively analyze the vowel production characteristics of Chinese language learners from Kyrgyzstan and the Kyrgyz ethnic group. By examining the production of monophthongs, including a[A], o[o], e[y] and \mathrm{u}[\mathrm{u}], and diphthongs such as ai[ai], ao[au] and ou[ou], the study reveals similar error tendencies in the acquisition of monophthongs among Chinese learners from Kyrgyzstan and the Kyrgyz ethnic group. Additionally, it identifies various issues with inaccurate articulatory positions and unnatural transitions in the acquisition of diphthongs. Based on the results of the experimental analysis, this study proposes targeted suggestions for the teaching of Chinese.
