Abstract:

This paper presents the development and evaluation of an orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) radar in a field-programmable gate array (FPGA) board. The work is realized with support of MATLAB and Xilinx System Generator software tools for computational simulations. The projected system is integrated in a FPGA board through the Xilinx Vivado software platform and its operability verified. The simulated and physical results show the possibility to distinguish several targets, with different characteristics, from the range versus velocity radar image.
