Derivation of FIR/IIR cascades for sub-pixel interpolation filters for video coding is considered. Correct adaptation of reflective and anti-reflective boundary conditions to different poles is proposed. Considered cascades are reported to be unique in the sense of the best trade-off between good precision and low computational costs.
