Abstract:

In this paper, a novel deployable cable net antenna supporting mechanism is presented and the detailed nonlinear static mechanic performance of the proposed mechanism is analyzed. By observing that the static structure of cable net system is easily influenced by the randomly external force in the actual space environment, the finite element static model of the cable net structure based on the principle of minimum potential energy is created, then we perform analysis on the nonlinear static mechanic performance based on the proposed model. This method is universal and can be applied on various forms of cable net system in balance state after loaded. Finally, the effects of different conditions on the cable structural stiffness are also presented.
