Abstract:
Ferrite cores are used for many applications and they need for accurate modeling to optimize weight, size and power losses. In the magnetization processes of these components is fundamental to take into account the static hysteresis, using appropriate modelling. We present and discuss in this paper two different optimization techniques to identify the parameters of a rate independent model of magnetic hysteresis, Pattern Search Algorithm and the Genetic Algorithm, applied to MnZn ferrites.
