Abstract:
This paper proposes a simultaneous wireless power and data transfer system for a sliding scenario. The power is transferred inductively, with the system resonant at 100KHz. The coils are designed to maintain a constant coupling along the entire path and therefore constant link performances, using a series connection of a selected couple of transmitting coils and a geometrically optimized receiver. The communication is achieved using a patch Antenna, designed at 5.24GHz and to be also used in a coupled configuration. The couple is connected to a Multiple-Input Single-Output (MISO) two antennas Wi-Fi Access Point, which guarantees an high data transfer and independent of the position. The result is a system which can provide power and information to a sliding receiver, as for example an industrial mover, independently of its position.
