Abstract:
A new augmented workplace (eSPR) approach for a simple, low cost, easy to use and portable experimental platform was implemented, to integrate a multispectral Surface Plasmon Resonance-Plastic Optical Fiber (SPR-POF) sensor. The eSPR has a dedicated user-friendly software Spectraberry interface. Surface Plasmon Resonance in plastic optical fibers (POF-SPR) is a low cost and sensitive label-free technique for selective detection of refractive index variations of the liquid sample that contains the analyte, at the interface between a metallic layer and a dielectric medium. SPR is widely used as a detection principle for bio and chemical sensing applications.
