Abstract:
Flares have been the most widely used countermeasure for electronic warfare systems in infrared (IR) band. Because they are easy to produce and cost effective, flares still maintain their effectiveness. Some temporal parameters are important in order to evaluate the effectiveness of flares. In this paper, these parameters will be defined and an automatic algorithm which calculates these parameters from IR signature measurement of a flare will be proposed.
