Abstract:
For high speed data transfer with 240 GHz OFDM based communication system, the baseband calculations should be done at very high processing rate to be able to use communication channel effectively. To reach that much speed, a baseband system is developed on FPGA. Random data generator, LDPC encoder and decoder, QPSK modulator, IFFT and FFT, STBC encoder and decoder with an AWGN generator for channel modeling at 250 MHz clock frequency are tested via simulation and verified by MATLAB model of the system. In addition, the whole system design is implemented at various frequencies on FPGA and simulation results are verified by using embedded integrated logic analyzer.
