Abstract:

A baseband receiver for downlink transmission based on IEEE Standard 802.16e-2005 OFDMA mode with central frequency of 3.5 GHz is proposed. Cell search, timing and frequency synchronization, as well as equalization are integrated in this receiver. To mitigate inter carrier interference (ICI) effect in mobile environments, a low-complexity ICI cancellation method is also proposed. Moreover, the circuits for all functional blocks in the receiver are designed. Simulation results demonstrate that the proposed receiver is capable of meeting the specified requirements.
