Abstract:

Security and the development of new authentication methods are of interest in the digital field. Traditional authentication methods, such as passwords or fingerprint identification, present limitations and vulnerabilities. Research in the field of EEG-based (electroencephalography) authentication has gained attention due to its potential to use brain activity as a unique method of user authentication. In this article, we aim to investigate the authentication method based on EEG signals, using two key features: maximum power and spectral entropy. These features can be used to create distinct profiles for each user and confirm their authenticity during the authentication process. Through this research, we intend to contribute to the field of EEG-based authentication and highlight the advantages and efficiency of using maximum power and spectral entropy as authentication methods.
