Abstract:
In this paper, an efficient metamaterial single layer structure is presented to achieve an isotropic band-pass filtering response. This layer can be combined with antenna in order to enhance his performance and it is commonly known as Frequency Selective Surface (FSS) structures. The proposed FSS design is a transmitter filter which provide a 3-db fractional bandwidth of a 1.65 GHz around 3.5 GHz resonant frequency. Moreover, simulation results carried out with CST software, demonstrates that this design has a stable frequency behavior at normal and oblique angles of incidents up to 45° both for Transverse Electric (TE) and Transverse Magnetic (TM) wave modes. So, it can be a good candidate for Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) mitigation for 5G wireless applications.
