Abstract:
Currently, the gamut of teaching tools and materials has been dramatically widened through state-of-the-art technologies. It has been proposed that these techniques could be exploited in STEAM education to improve pedagogical efficacy, foster scientific thinking, and raise appreciation of science via multisensory creativity in diverse settings. Here, this work-in-progress paper illustrated to model 3D-printed organelles with complex membrane structures using raw experimental data and remodel plastids using beeswax as STEAM education to foster learner's creativity. As a stratagem in STEAM education, a combination of 3D modeling with hands-on creative activity was proven to be efficacious for K-12 learners.
