Abstract:

Active filters using current conveyors have been attractive since their inception due to their better performance in areas such as extended bandwidth of operation and high values for their slew rate. Additionally, a circuit with differential signals has the advantage of cancelling out unwanted common-mode signals or noise. This paper presents a new all-pass filter, designed using the Differential Current Conveyor (DCCII) as the main active block. The proposed circuit consists of two resistors and two capacitors, including one grounded capacitor, which makes it suitable for tuning. For comparison, we have included the proposed design's performance evaluation with candidate all-pass sections found in the open literature. We carried out the simulation using the SPECTRE simulation model on Cadence software using UMC 180nm library, and the simulation results agree with the theoretical results.
