Abstract:

To avoid instability caused by abrupt load changes or contingencies, the region of attraction (ROA) estimation is significant for large-signal stability analysis of the power system. This letter proposes a novel method to estimate ROA of DC microgrids containing constant power loads (CPLs). Compared with the existing methods, an obvious advantage of the proposed method can reduce computations greatly, which is applicable to large-scale DC power grids. Finally, the feasibility of the proposed method is verified by case studies.
