Abstract:
Detecting the PQRST waves of electrocardiogram (ECG) signals is an important method for diagnosing cardiac illness. Atrial Fibrillation (AF) is an irregular heart rhythm that can lead to heart failure. Therefore, the accurate detection of AF is a very crucial task. This paper introduces an efficient and real-time framework for PQRST and AF detection of ECG signals recorded using wearable devices. The presented framework includes an ECG acquisition unit, Digital Signal Processing (DSP), and the extraction of fiducial points. The suggested approach attained the following percentage average detection accuracy: 91.81, 87.56, 87.29, 86.71, 86.99, and 85.71 for R, Q, S, P, T, and AF, respectively. The computations used in the proposed scheme are simple, making it efficient for use with low-resource devices.
