Abstract:

A personal location context mashup solution called LBS 2.0 is introduced in this paper. A widget based on the LBS 2.0 idea is implemented on a mobile phone to aggregate multiple contents from the internet. A Symbian-based web runtime location service is applied for calculating the location information including position, distance, time, and speed. A geolocation service offers an interpretation capability between coordinates and addresses. The principles for indentifying mashup sources are described. Contents retrieving and parsing processes are explained. Finally, a personal location aware utilization scenario is presented to show the contexts combined in the LBS 2.0 mashup on a Nokia 5800 XpressMusic handset.
