Abstract:

This paper, for the first time, fully characterizes LoRa signals in CN470 MHz, and assesses the real location services over low-power wide-area network (LPWAN). Meanwhile, this paper has considered multiple factors, such as signal coverage, signal distribution over space and over time, device diversity, outdoors and indoors, and device motion. The outcomes from this paper can provide sufficient insights for location enhanced IoT (LET) services.
