Abstract:

The mobility of networked agents brings new features into the research of dynamic programmable networks. From an optimistic perspective, agent mobility in mobile ad hoc networks (MANETs) could benefit for the optimization of physical links in programmable network structure, if properly handled. Therefore, in this paper, the problem of reducing redundant hops in dynamic programmable networks is investigated. Specifically, a physical link optimization strategy, namely PLOS, is proposed to improve the performance of the virtual links by minimizing the length of data stream and the hop-counts of the routes in the physical link The correctness and efficiency of the proposed method is then verified through theoretical analysis and computer simulations.
