Abstract:
The existing secure transmission methods based on fountain codes require a quite dominant quality of the main channel. In this paper, we propose a novel feedback-based method for fountain code to achieve stronger security. In the binary erasure channel model, the legitimate user shares the decoding situation with transmitter via feedback messages. The transmitter updates the coding process based on the feedback so as to weaken the connection of coding before and after the feedback. By doing that, the superiority of the main channel is accumulated and expanded. Numerical results indicate that the proposed method can significantly reduce the rate of intercepted symbols at the eavesdropper under the same channel conditions and the performance is even better when the quality of the main channel and the wiretap channel are close.
