Abstract:

Joint source-channel coding(JSCC) is one of the AI-enabled transmission technologies that has its great potential to improve the transmission reliability. In this paper, the resource optimization problem of transmitting images via JSCC satellite communication characterized by stochastic processes is inves-tigated. An objective function that comprehensively considers both the image resolution and the information entropy of the image is constructed in the optimization problem, while latency, reconstruction quality, power constraints are simultaneously considered in the problem. Specially, user tolerance time is set as time slot to balance user tolerance and bandwidth saving. By applying the linear programming techniques, the optimization problem is effectively solved. Through various comparative tests, a practical set of parameters is devised for implementation in conclusion. Simulation results proves the effectiveness of our proposed scheme.
