Abstract:

Mobile ad hoc Networks (MANET) is considered as advanced wireless networks. This network have their applications in various fields of life. We considered the mobility of nodes in the network as a key of the researchers. In this paper we have evaluated the impact of diverse mobility models on the performance of routing protocol Optimized Link State Routing Protocol (OLSR). In the study we have analyzed the performance of various mobility models specifically: Random Waypoint, Random Direction, Random walk and Gauss Markov Mobility Models having varying number of nodes. The empirical results propose that OLSR protocol using Random Waypoint mobility model has optimized results for varying number of nodes.
