Abstract:

This paper had analyzed the Wavelength Division Multiplexing (WDM) bi-directional system with a 100 GHz channel spacing with the length of Single-Mode Fiber (SMF) is 200 km, and 40 km distance of Dispersion Compensation Fiber (DCF) is proposed. This system evaluates DCF to compensate for the dispersion by varying the places of DCF such as pre-, post, and mix compensating configuration to see the impact of dispersion control in the output. The system model is tested by a Non-return Zero (NRZ) modulation with varying the input power laser. The data successfully transmits 40 Gbps.
