Abstract:
This paper considers the methods to allocate radio resource blocks in the multi-cell Multimedia Broadcast/Multicast Service Single Frequency Network (MBSFN). To evaluate the influence of co-channel interference, a system level simulation platform of the multi-cell MBSFN is set up and a resource allocation strategy against co-channel interference is proposed. Simulations show that the proposed strategy obtains a preferable tradeoff between coverage and throughput in no channel quality feedback case. Furthermore, if the feedback is permitted, the proposed strategy gains better performances of both throughput and coverage when the sizes of MBSFN areas are large enough compared with the existing strategy.
