Abstract:

This paper presents an improved planar inverted-F antenna (PIFA) which works in the upper part of the VHF and the lower part of the UHF (the center frequency is 270 MHZ). Two layers of thin metal material are used to form the structure of improved inverted-F. In order to reduce the size of the antenna, ferrite is used as the substrate, slot technology is used to improve the characteristics of the antenna, and the optimized antenna size is 40*60*6(mm). The simulation result shows that this antenna can work perfectly between 253 MHZ and 338 MHZ, and the -10 dB relative bandwidth is more than 30%.
