Intelligent substation is an important part of building a strong and smart grid, which is the key “anchor” of six aspects of information exchange of smart grid. However, there are still some issues in the current construction of intelligent substation. To further improve the construction of intelligent substation, improve intensive network management, improve network scalability, this paper proposes applying OpenFlow-based SDN technology to the intelligent substation communication network, simulate the network environment and test the performance.
