Abstract:

In order to deploy private indoor system, it is crucial to obtain indoor spatial distribution of wireless performance such as received power and throughput. It is necessary to get the accurate indoor location, since we cannot rely on the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) in indoor environments. This paper employs the automatic guided vehicle (AGV) using robot operating systems (ROS) to get the location information. The local-5G user equipment (UE) is installed on the AGV. The Ubuntu PC also installed on the AGV associates the location information with the wireless performance, and visualizes it in real time, and outputs in the log file. By employing the AGV, the performance can be obtained from the remote location. This is very useful for the local 5G data acquisition, where the performance can vary greatly due to the human body blocking. We performed the evaluation in the Kagawa university and showed the effectiveness of our measurement tools.
