Abstract
Visual tracking and reidentification has gathered a lot of attention in real-world surveillance applications. We explore on-board visual tracking and reidentification of a person from a moving camera, such as a drone. We develop an android application which can communicate with the drone and transmit roll, pitch, and vertical upthrust instructions. We use a kernelized correlation filter tracker for tracking the person, and for the reidentification task we apply a deep three-dimensional ConvNet. The experiments demonstrate a robust performance.
