Abstract
Crest lines are shape features with high significance on anatomical surfaces. They implicitly follow the gyri and the fundi of sulci on the cerebral cortex. In this work, an automatic crest line extraction algorithm is presented and show two useful applications, rigid registration and surface simplification.
