Distributing User Interfaces
DUI '14: Proceedings of the 2014 Workshop on Distributed User Interfaces and Multimodal InteractionThe distribution of user interfaces is a reality. To represent this reality this paper presents a metamodel to characterize user interface distribution capabilities and states. This metamodel allows analyzers/designers to manipulate user interface ...
Autonomous adaptation of user interfaces to support mobility in ambient intelligence systems
EICS '13: Proceedings of the 5th ACM SIGCHI symposium on Engineering interactive computing systemsThe work presented in this paper is focused on building Ambient Intelligence (AmI) applications capable of moving from one environment to another, while their user interface keeps adapting itself, autonomously, to the variable environment conditions and ...
Distributed and disappearing user interfaces in ubiquitous computing
CHI EA '01: CHI '01 Extended Abstracts on Human Factors in Computing SystemsNew concepts for human-computer interaction have to be developed when envisioning ubiquitous computing scenarios [7]. Instead of a single screen-based user interface (UI), humans will interact with a number of devices that are distributed and ...
