Developing a game in the context of an open source community

ABSTRACT

The purpose of this paper is to present a game development approach in a context of an open source community.

The problem of community creation and management is an important issue in this context. Identifying who is involved, what are their motivations, as well as the tasks that they perform and tools used is a particularly relevant issue.

In this paper, we propose a graphical modeling approach that may be used to model open source software communities. Then, we describe the use of this approach in a case of game development.
