ABSTRACT
In this paper, we describe a methodology for integrating personalized competency-based learning in a group of correlated courses in typical undergraduate education settings. The personalization is provided both in terms of content and learning pace. The material is organized in hierarchical modules based on the competencies desired to be achieved, containing both presentation materials and various type of tests. The methodology was integrated in several database and programming courses and its preliminary evaluation shows significant improvement in student grades.
