ABSTRACT
Computer mediated communication (CMC) applications are widely used in academic field. Students have considerably usage of CMC applications in several applications including learning and social communication. social media networks are commonly used in student's daily life, A few studies focused on exploiting students' opinions on social media networks about their lecturers' performance and courses quality. This study investigated students' evaluations criterion for lecturers and courses within Malaysian educational institute (UNIKL), and their perspectives for using social networks as a platform for posting opinions related to how good are the lecturers and courses. The findings showed that students tend to be conservative towards revealing opinion online regarding their lecturers and courses. This may show that social network still found outside world that cannot be used to discuss opinions regarding lecturers' performance and courses quality.
