ABSTRACT

WebRTC (Web Real-time Communication) can achieve real-time video and audio communication on the Web without installation of any plugins or client software. It has the advantages of cross-platform, low development cost and wide application range. WebRTC is bringing us an innovation era on multimedia instant communication. The echo cancellation framework based on WebRTC real-time audio and video was introduced first, including explaining its principle and related key technology, and then the three modules of adaptive echo cancellation were presented. Next the principle of adaptive filter was elaborated, and implementation detail of some WebRTC common adaptive echo cancellation algorithms were introduced; finally, open issues that are worthy of further study were mentioned.
