ABSTRACT
In the digital film making process, due to increases in the use of visual effects and CG, the shooting process is getting more and more complicated. In this paper, we describe an on-line collaborative visualization tool, named "SS-3d" for cinema pre-production. This tool is made for the purpose of online pre-production meeting. It helps production members to make decisions on the camera position and angle for the live action plate and computer animation plate. These plates are assumed to be composited with other plates. Since the system is based on Web3D technology, users can access the system via a web browser and share information about the shots, wherever they are. This system is implemented by Macromedia Shockwave3D, the Shockwave3D plug-in is the key technology for this system to set up platform-independent tools.

3D puppetry: a kinect-based interface for 3D animation
UIST '12: Proceedings of the 25th annual ACM symposium on User interface software and technologyWe present a system for producing 3D animations using physical objects (i.e., puppets) as input. Puppeteers can load 3D models of familiar rigid objects, including toys, into our system and use them as puppets for an animation. During a performance, the ...
