Histological Study After Putting Different Lengths of Autologous Tendon to Reconstruct Anterior Cruciate Ligament
Purpose: To adopt the autologous tendon of beagles to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), put different lengths of tendon in the bone tunnel and compare their histological changes. Method: To choose 57 adult beagles weighing 13 kg to 16 kg, of which 3 adult
beagles are regarded as the control group, and use the autologous tendon to reconstruct the anterior cruciate ligament and make the model of both knees of the rest 54 beagles, and divide them into 6 groups according to different lengths of muscle tendon in the bone tunnel: the groups of 5
mm, 9 mm, 13 mm, 17 mm, 21 mm and 25 mm; take the specimen respectively after surgery of 1.5 months, 3 months and 6 months and conduct a histological study. Result: The normal ACL endpoints from bone to ligament are bone, calcified cartilage, fibrous cartilage and ligament fiber in
turn. The tendon-bone healing of the groups of 17 mm, 21 mm and 25 mm in the experimental group is superior to that of the groups of 5 mm, 9 mm and 13 mm for the corresponding period. Conclusion: When reconstructing ACL with autologous tendon, adopt autologous tendon to reconstruct
ACL, the length of muscle tendon put into the bone tunnel is not necessarily the best when it is the longest, but there should be an optimal length.
