Enhancing Bio-Medical Mammography Image Fusion Using Optimized Genetic Algorithm
Breast cancer is one of the most dangerous diseases to women which lead to create dead in final stage. Most of the traditional techniques are fail to recognize the breast cancer in beginning stage. Among the various techniques, Mammography has been a common technique of breast cancer
identification. Many techniques have been pressented in the past for enhancing X-ray mammograms for breast cancer identification but those techniques are fails to produces the accurate results. So, in this paper the Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used for optimization of the weights used in pixel
level weighted averaging and DWT weighted averaging techniques. A performance metric evaluation is performed using the image quality measring techniques and it is identified that optimization of the weights gives enhanced X-ray mammogram, which can be used by the radiologist to diagnois breast
cancer in a better way.
