The Internet of Things (IoT) has been identified to be an emerging wave for the development of new services along with a global growth of the economy which is driven by several things that are connected to the Internet. The IoT has a vision of connecting many billions of things in a pervasive manner that can interact with the environment surrounding us and also receiving information on the status which has not been available earlier by means of looking at a particular set of things. The IoT is an extension of the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN) which has today become the entity that pervades the human life that reaches areas wherein humans cannot reach. The application of the WSN is today a trend which is invincible in different commercial, medical, environmental and industrial fields. Integrating the WSN, the cloud and other computational elements with a new field of technology known as the "IoT." There is another new routing protocol which is energy efficient in the WSN for the saving of node energy along with the integration of the WSN with the cloud for improving the efficiency of sensor nodes using trust. The routing has been identified so that the capacity of the node is reused. An analysis of the architecture is done focusing the problems that addresses the energy consumption during data collection process that is challenging due to mobility and it also focuses the security in energy efficient sensor network. The results proved that this routing proposed had a lower average PDR for the 250 and 500 number of nodes by about 1.98% and 1.25% for the no attack. This proposed trust along with a security routing has a much higher average PDR for the 250 and 500 number of nodes by about 10.33% and 10.46 for the Grey hole attack—10%.
