ABSTRACT

Tomography (DSCT) techniques, the diagnostic of CAD has been facilitated in the quantification of cardiovascular risk. Calcium Score (CS) is considered the most reliable quantification technique known, regarding its high temporal resolution in the newer generation of equipments. This property allows acquiring best cardiac images free of motion artifacts. Nevertheless, there is wide evidence that the presence of high levels of calcium in coronary arteries by itself is enough to predict the risk of CAD. [4,8-10].
