ABSTRACT

Movement analysis of the human body is a growing field to measure movements and to evaluate their qualitative response to interactive stimuli. These techniques can be classified either as haptic-interfaces based or as vision based. In the first case, movements are computed by applying electro-mechanical devices on specific parts of the bodybeing analyzed. In the second case, the same type of information is calculated by processing video streams used to capture human body movements.Vision based techniques allowmore natural user experience. Moreover, they have many practical advantages compared to the haptic-interface devices, such as usability, portability, and generality.
