ABSTRACT

Introduction Social systems are ubiquitous and include the following types: trafc systems (Balmer et al. 2004; Wang 2005), market systems (Tesfatsion 2002), government systems (Comfort 2007; Oh and Moon 2008), and military systems (Pew and Mavor 1998), among others. These systems have human and societal entities put in place to achieve a goal that neither a single individual nor organization can achieve (Blanchard and Fabrycky 2010).
