In diesem Beitrag wird die Beobachtung des Informationsverhaltens als zentraler methodischer Ansatz der informationswissenschaftlicher Forschung identifiziert, der auch unter Anerkennung terminologischer, evtl. sogar ontologischer Grundannahmen eine Kooperation über die Grenzen etablierter Paradigmata hinaus erlaubt.
In this article we argue that information behavior can be seen as a central methodological approach to information science research, allowing cooperation beyond the scope of established paradigms in our discipline. In making our argument we introduce important terminological and ontological assumptions. Moreover, the text provides a frame of reference for the articles in the remainder of this special edition.
Dans cet article, l’observation du comportement face à l’information est identifié comme une approche méthodologique centrale à la recherche dans le domaine des sciences de l’information, qui permet, même en reconnaissant les hypotheses terminologiques, voire ontologiques, la coopération au-delà des frontières des paradigmes établis.
