Abstract
Machine tool production is dynamic and complex. Although significant research on short-term production planning has been done, it is still not clear how a shortterm production plan is made and conducted at an actual production site because implicit knowledge and know-how are often applied. In this study, we try to analyze production at an actual production site by modeling production system and short-term production planning. The results of the simulation using the model are compared with real machine tool production data and verified.
