Abstract:
This paper presents a nonlinear model for self excited induction generators, describes the voltage buildup in a self-excited induction generator, the voltage variation with the chosen capacitor value, and a voltage control using Static Var Compensator (SVC) with variable load and rotation speed. Also presents two control methods: proportional controller and a controller using look-up table, and the comparison between the two control methods.
