Abstract:

In response to the widespread use of mobile devices to capture and upload numerous images for analysis in cloud services, we must manage the complexity of analysis requests and challenges of load balancing in a virtualized server environment (e.g., Docker environment). In this paper, we implement an intelligent load balancing approach based on deep reinforcement learning, allocating image analysis requests in a Docker container environment while evaluating the performance of each container. In the evaluation, our approach was able to find a reasonable allocation policy for minimizing the analysis time compared to other intelligent load balancers.
