Abstract:
Surface-normal electro-optic-polymer modulator using highly confined TM resonant mode in a silicon high-contrast grating is demonstrated numerically and experimentally. A proof-of-concept device is fabricated to show high-Q resonance and 15% intensity modulation at 1550 nm.
