The paper deals with several aspects of the human exposure to the electromagnetic fields from the non-ionizing part of the spectrum pertaining to electromagnetic-thermal dosimetry, biochemical, biological, and biomedical effects, as well as legal issues. Basic mechanisms of the interaction of humans with electromagnetic fields versus frequency is briefly reviewed. Electromagnetic-thermal dosimetry fundamentals are outlined. The state-of-the art regarding biochemical, biological, and biomedical effects due to exposure to these fields and corresponding legal issues are given in the paper, as well.
