This paper has developed a set of smart teaching aids system for electrical machinery. This device operated with voice guidance is based on an innovative concept that substitutes “DC pulsed source” for “AC sinusoidal source”. In manual operation mode, we break down the “rapid-continuous” motion of rotating electrical machinery into the “stepping-discrete” manual operation movements. Through hands-on operations, students operating with voice guidance get to know the principles of rotating electrical machinery motions step-by-step. By observing the LED lights that indicate the electromagnetic changes inside the electrical machinery, students can also easily understand the complex operation principles of the rotating magnetic field, created by “time-phase” of the stator current and “space-vector” of the stator coil. The teaching aids and teaching materials can also be teaching reference of electrical machinery theory and experimental courses in vocational schools and universities.
