Application of extensive software systems changed work of in engineers at development and application of products in industry. New situation is characterized by control of generation representations in contextual model environment, definition of automatically reused knowledge for adaptive model, cooperation of disciplines, and survey of complex structures of model representations. This new situation requires new approach, concept, and methodology to curriculum definition, course planning, laboratory environment configuration, and knowledge transfer to students considering software system as teaching environment. Considerations about engineering purposed software system, definition and representation of engineering objects in this system, and knowledge content of higher education should be coordinated at course specification. This paper introduces a new approach to organized analysis of effects of the above new situation on higher education courses. It starts with discussion of the new situation considering the anticipated changes of course programs. Following this new generalized model of engineering course in virtual environment is conceptualized. Finally, analysis of effects on higher education courses is introduced considering the above model.
