In this paper, a weighted least squares method with weighted matrix designed specially is presented to solve the single target location problem in MIMO system. Firstly the model of localization is constructed in MIMO system based on the topology of system. One weighted matrix designing methods are discussed to solve the problem under low angle measure errors condition. The conclusion is that this method is the maximum likelihood estimation for single target location. The validity and advantages are proved by simulation. Under the scenario of one transmitter and three receivers, the different placements of receivers are simulated and the best configuration is also determined.
